Course Description
This 4-hour course, conducted live, will provide instruction in key aspects of leadership. We will discuss and complete activities that will demonstrate what skills form the foundation of a career in leadership and guide participants to what they can be working on NOW. Class sizes are kept purposely small in order to maximize the learning impact through active participation.
Each participant will complete a follow-up ‘Change Commitment Contract’ to ensure that this is not your typical check-the-box course. This ‘contract’ will require them to practice key learnings and reinforce behavior changes.
Topics to be covered in depth include:
the types of leadership - why they exist and when to use them
what is workplace culture and how is it established and changed
what to work on NOW to prepare for a future in leadership
the necessary aspects of leadership to build a successful team
how to build Trust between the team members and the leader
These topics are reinforced with real-life experience and examples by an instructor who has launched dozens of future leaders into successful careers.
Outcomes
Deliverable outcomes from the workshop include:

A plan on how to work on foundational skills for a career in leadership
